St. Augustine School is pleased to offer a rigorous curriculum in a caring and safe environment. The Archdiocesan curriculum guidelines, consistent with the District of Columbia guidelines, are followed in the teaching of all secular subject areas. There is an emphasis on learning through problem-solving rather than merely rote learning. We offer a program of traditional subjects which makes use of many sources including reading materials, a wide variety of audio-visual and technology tools and a multi-faceted approach to the content areas.

Subjects offered include: Religion, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading, Spanish, Spelling, Computer Literacy, Music, Art, Library Skills, Penmanship, and Physical Education.

• Students in grades 2-8 scored in the top three percentile in the nation in math and reading, and in grades K and 1 students scored in the top 10 percentile.
• More than 95% of our graduating students are accepted into the high school of their choice.
• We are accredited by AdvancEd.
• We participate in the Scantron Performance Series testing and evaluation programs.
