The Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance Program is available for students in grades Pre-K-12 who are applying to or currently enrolled in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Washington. All tuition assistance obtained through the Archdiocese is based on demonstrated financial need.
To qualify, financial need must be demonstrated each year. Families can apply each year for tuition assistance, which does not affect student admission to a school.
Applications for tuition assistance for the following school year are available beginning in October and are due by the deadlines announced. FACTS manages the process on behalf of Archdiocese of Washington Catholic schools.
Please note that you only need to complete one form for all children in a family, whether elementary school students or high school students, even if you are seeking tuition assistance for children attending different schools. Learn More & Apply
DC Opportunity Scholarship Program
The Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP) offers scholarships – sometimes called vouchers – to low income children in the District of Columbia to attend a participating D.C. private school of their choice. It is funded under the Scholarships for Opportunity and Results (SOAR) Act, and is the only federally funded voucher program in the country. For school year (SY) 2025-26 scholarships caps are up to $10,000 for grades K – 8th
In order to use the scholarship, recipients must submit a separate application to the participating private school of their choice. You may apply to as many schools as you want. You will be reimbursed for the cost of up to 5 applications per student. Parents and guardians are encouraged to start this process immediately.
Once your child has been accepted, and you have confirmed your annual income amount, you will provided with a School Placement Form (SPF). The SPF allows your child’s school to bill your scholarship for tuition and other educational fees. Only children awarded an Opportunity Scholarship are provided with the School Placement Form.
