At the age of eighteen I started my first teaching job and continue to work as a teacher until I was promoted to principal for the Primary Department at Arnold Middle School. In 1994 I migrated to the United States of America where I continue my teaching career. My first job was at Coolidge Senior High School where I worked as a reading teacher. I then moved on to Anacostia High School working as the Director for Sylvan Learning Systems. Other Public schools include, Lincoln Middle School (teacher), Walker Jones elementary (teacher) etc. After leaving Public School I was hired by the Archdiocese of Washington under the Consortium. Some of the schools are Nativity Catholic, Saint Francis, Saint Gabriel etc. In 2008 I applied for a teaching position here at Saint Augustine during which time the schools became chartered. I have been teaching for 17 years at Saint Augustine, 27 years in the Archdiocese , and 51 years in the teaching career. My first passion is teaching but, I also like to cook, especially Caribbean dishes, such as, curried chicken, oxtails, rice and peas etc. My favorite food is fish (prepared in any way possible).
